Living foods help us to achieve our highest state of health and wellbeing.

If ever we are in doubt about an issue or a decision, it often helps to ask ourselves what is the most natural of the various courses before us - which is the simplest, which is the most obvious, which is the one which intuition brings immediately to mind.  The natural world never makes mistakes - only humans do that!

And so, with the dozens of dietary styles before us - traditional UK diet, vegetarianism, veganism, macrobiotics, nouvelle cuisine, food combining - which really is best for us?  (And also, for each ONE of us, as unique individuals?) A look at the natural world gives us a clear indicator.  Looking around at other mammals, we see that humans do not resemble nature’s carnivores, nor indeed are we like the herbivores.  We are closest in form and structure to the ape family who are mostly frugivorous, eating from nature fruits, shoots, leaves and berries - in fact, foods that are simply ‘to hand’ in the forest - and like them, we humans uniquely have hands.  (These kinds of foods are also kindest to the environment because foods based on animal husbandry and factory processing use up far more land, energy and other precious resources.)

Humans of course are the only animals to cook their food.  Cooking literally kills food - as it will kill most visibly living creatures - so that vital enzymes and vitamins are lost.  Moreover the ‘dead’ food that we eat may even act as an anti-nutrient, changing the lining of our digestive tract in a self-protective reaction, so that we are less able to digest good foods even when they are available.  But we can reverse this.  Incorporating more  uncooked foods in our diet can have enormous health benefits.  There are countless well documented cases of severely ill people whose lives it has transformed, and even those who are  relatively well to begin with report a huge increase in energy when they increase the proportion of 'living foods' in their diet..
